Bahrain urged to observe citizens’ rights

TEHRAN, Mar. 27 (MNA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson has urged to stop blame games and do its best to respect civil rights of its citizens.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi who was reacting this morning to recent claims by Bahraini officials about a so-called terrorist group allegedly connected to Iran, strongly refuted the claims as ‘baseless and vain.’

He added that it was surprising that Bahraini officials still continued to repeat their baseless lies and claims and accused the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Ghasemi advised the regime in Bahrain it “would better stop futile blame games and focus its efforts on respecting civil rights of its citizens, stop suppression and detention of religious figures and provide all people in society with freedom.”

He concluded that ‘illusionary’ regime in Bahrain must observe good neighborliness with its northern neighbor and stop raising baseless unproductive accusations against Iran and solve its domestic issues wisely.
